Following this weekend’s triumphant shows at V Festival , The Courteeners are very pleased to announce that they will be capping off an amazing 2010 with a five date UK tour this December!

The jaunt kicks off in Leicester on December 4th and takes in dates in Glasgow, London and Leeds before culminating with a huge homecoming show at the 16000 capacity Manchester Evening News Arena.

Support at all of the shows comes from Miles Kane, while Mercury Prize nominated I Am Kloot are also special guests in Manchester.

The Courteeners are pleased to announce details a one-off show in York next month.

On 3rd September the band will headline a very special York Fibbers re-launch gig at the newly refurbished venue.

The venue now boasts a new state-of-the-art soundsystem, an increased capacity, new bars and more.

Liam is proud to announce news of a forthcoming Xfm solo gig at Manchester's Salford Lads Club on Wednesday 18th August. 

The show will offer fans the chance to get up-close and personal with Liam, as he performs an intimate solo acoustic gig at the legendary venue - made famous by the classic gatefold shot from The Smith's timeless 'Queen Is Dead' album.

If you didn't win tickets to The Courteeners' iTunes Festival gig on Wednesday and you can't catch the live stream on Myspace then fear not as ITV2 are also filming the show! 

This Thursday night (22nd July) between 10pm and 11pm, ITV2 will screen highlights of the band’s epic show at The Roundhouse in London.

The Courteeners are confirmed to play a one-off outdoor gig in Germany this autumn. 

The band will be main support for The Kooks at the show at IFA Sommergarten on 2nd September.

The Germany show follows a busy festival season for The Courteeners which sees them play dates in the UK and Japan including V Festival and Summersonic.

The show at Custom House Square on August 27 is part of the two week long Belsonic 2010.

The Courteeners will join Noel Gallagher on the 25th of March at the Royal Albert Hall for Noel's first live performance since Oasis split.


The performance is in aid of The Teenage Cancer Trust, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.


An array of musicians and comedians from Jimmy Carr and The Specials to Rhod Gilbert and Mystery Jets will come together from the 22nd to 30th of March to raise money in the battle against teen cancer.

First off, How good was the Gmex? A big Thank-you to everyone who was there. We will remember that one for a very long time.

So, Falcon is on the horizon. We're absolutely buzzing over it. I've
just had 2 huge canvases made of the album artwork. I absolutely
fucking love that image. how good is it !? gone up a notch with the
artwork this time around. I felt me and me camera phone didn't quite
cut the mustard for the transition that we've made. Probably get us all
to sign one and auction it for charity. The other one is going up on my
wall.

I wanna say thanks for the swell of positivity we've had surrounding
the new stuff. Every single song I've ever written I've written for
myself and no-one else. If people like it, excellent stuff. If they
don't, they can jog on. Simples.

When you write, whatever it may be, you're putting your baby on the
line. So to have the response that we have had on the myspace,
Facebook, Youtube, etc concerning the new stuff has been fucking
brilliant. We knew it'd go down well live and we can't wait until March
to see everyone going mental up and the down these fair Isles.
